In more than 25 years, Yoko Shimomura has become one of the most celebrated video game composers. Having worked for a decade at Square, she has created the soundtracks for critically acclaimed and widely beloved titles such as Live A Live, Front Mission, Legend of Mana, Super Mario RPG and Parasite Eve, as well as the unique Kingdom Hearts franchise, created in collaboration with Disney. Yet, she had already attained fame in 1991, composing the legendary character themes for Street Fighter II. A freelance composer since 2003, Yoko Shimomura is still contributing to the Kingdom Hearts series, and is also the main composer of the much-anticipated Final Fantasy XV.
Created in close collaboration with Yoko Shimomura and produced by the Wayô Records team, the Melodiosa concert is featuring some of the composer’s most celebrated pieces. It premiered in Paris in 2015, as the very first European event entirely dedicated to Yoko Shimomura.
